Welcome to Noosa Foodie blog! As the name implies, this blog is about all that is food in the Noosa region. My name is Gail and I am thrilled and proud to call this beautiful paradise home. I am passionate about food and cooking, and own and operate a local business called life’s a feast. My business comprises a boutique cooking school where I teach hands-on cooking classes from my home in Noosaville and tours of the fantastic Noosa Farmers’ Market. I created this blog to share with you the fabulous food and produce of the Noosa region which I find so inspiring.
For those of you not familiar with the area, Noosa is located about 120km north of Brisbane on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Noosa is a food-lover’s haven – the region is blessed with top quality produce and gourmet products grown and made with love by dedicated local farmers and artisans, as well as world class restaurants run by passionate chefs. The unique and diverse local produce of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is highly regarded by chefs and discerning foodies Australia-wide as well as internationally, and includes cheese, honey, chocolate, ginger, tropical fruits, spices, wines, berries, avocadoes, macadamia nuts, seafood, olives and coffee to name but a few!
On Noosa Foodie blog, you can expect to read about my favourite local produce, products and restaurants, recipes I’ve created from local ingredients and local culinary experiences. I’ll also be test-driving local restaurants and food products, and keeping you up to date with what’s new. For the purposes of this blog, “local” will incorporate the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland. I am a keen photographer, and all photographs on this blog are my own (unless specified). I am also writing a cookbook, so any recipes on this blog are of my own creation (again, unless specified).
